Welcome to Ninety-Nine Castles!

Hello, welcome to the Ninety-Nine Castles blog. This blog is conceived as a thought experiment, a creative thought experiment where ninety-nine castles of different forms would be rendered. Ninety-nine different ones. Ninety-nine castles in the air, ninety-nine castles of the mind.

Italo Calvino's 'Invisible Cities' as an ironic visual concept was a possibility but the difficulty would have been immense. It would require detailed knowledge and understanding of the work and beyond. Moebius had earlier created a marvellous tour de force of imagination, 'Forty Days in the Desert' based on a biblical theme. It is hoped that this thought experiment can serve as a heir in terms of imagination as well as a homage.
